(December 2015) — Team Spiro took to the streets for the 2015 Lee County Heart Walk. Some ran, some walked, some crawled. But it was well worth the time and effort as the American Heart Association holds a special place in our collective hearts. Plus, with our financial donation it is the least we can do to help fight cardiovascular diseases and stroke — the nation’s #1 and #5 killers.
Of course we can always use the exercise as we trekked the 3.1-mile course that meandered across the downtown Fort Myers River District, onto the Edison Bridge and its sweeping vistas, and back to Centennial Park. At that point it was time for some adult beverages at a local watering hole where we toasted to hearty brews (yeah, OK, and to good heart health too).
