Plumbing Nerds is a locally owned and operated plumbing business serving Lee, Collier, and Charlotte Counties since 2007, with a plan to expand operations north and to service the entire southwest coast of Florida in the next five years. The primary focus of the business is “round the clock” emergency plumbing service, general plumbing service, and replacement. While driving to a service call one day, the owner of Plumbing Nerds was listening to a self-help audible and thought to himself, “I am such a Nerd about plumbing and it hit him, as ridiculous as it sounded, he believed it was the perfect name for his plumbing business. After receiving a lot of grief from his family and friends, he followed his gut instinct and is reaping the benefits of a “nerdy business name,” and the Brand Architects at Spiro & Associates got a great name to market, showcasing their expertise in brand development and strategic marketing.
The Plumbing Nerds brand is one that provides a lot of creative ‘ammunition’. When considering the brand’s goals, the number one goal is increasing awareness and, in turn, sales growth, especially when exploring growing the market. This is followed by the recruitment of new ‘Nerds’ to service the increased market share. The two are something of a ‘one hand washes the other’ scenario, demonstrating effective advertising solutions and community engagement.
The brand’s positioning line; ‘Smarter Plumbers. Smarter Plumbing Solutions.’, provides a solid overall position to guide the campaign we had developed. However, done the right way, we believe you can walk right up to the ‘line’ without crossing it.
